SRJC WON THE THIRD PLACING?! SRJC, yes my school SERANGOON JUNIOR COLLEGE.
SRJC has won the RSN rugby schools' invitation 2008 by emerging the third among the Junior Colleges island wide, =)
Hands down to Derelyn for coming in and taught us A LOT and I mean it.
Saw ex-coach, Singapore national women's rugby captain.
SRJC were in pool A with RJC, SAJC, NJC AND JJC.
1st game was against RJC: Brigette my team captain opens the score for the SR's first match. Damn ego boosting =) It was then followed by RJC's try. We held our defence line till the last minute just before whistle was blown. Score 2-1. Almost beat down the power house but we lost by a mere 1 point.
2nd game was against SAJC: Had train with the girls before. Frankly speaking I'm intimidated by their sizes and their solid rucks, kudos to them. Well, we managed to tear them apart by scoring 1-0.
3rd game was against JJC: A walk-over. So SRJC won! Their coach is so like Derelyn. The two of them shouts very well. And they're friendly too just like NYP ruggers =)
4th game was against NJC: A sudden death match, Jia Yu scored the first try well yada yada yada. Deep down in my heart SRJC had won but yada yada yada NJC won this match.
The semi final was against MI(super loser team who can't accept aggressiveness): We beat them 2-0. But I just have to add they have like this Indian girl who is fast and always try side stepping us but just didn't work on us =)But hats off to her.
Overall: NJC 1st, RJC 2nd and SRJC 3rd =)
What a gigantic leap of road towards excellency & I love my team mates, my coach Derelyn and lastly my teachers Mr Raymond Andrew & Ms Lam. It's they who made SRJC touch ruggers who we are today.=)
